We live in a pluralistic and diverse society. How do we deal with the spirit of our times? What is our mission in this society as Christians and as Christian educators? At this year’s conference we hope to try to interpret and unmask the ‘zeitgeist’. It is important to recognise influences, be prepared and stay close to our calling! To be a blessing by being a salt and a light, but how do we practice what we preach?
As Christian educators, we need to understand the present times and prepare ourselves and our students. Are we equipping our students through our curriculum and learning communities to be that salt and light? Moreover, the way that we approach this situation will depend on how God’s Word is working within us.
This present situation in today’s society brings us into need and calls us to meet together. We extend a warm invitation to European educators to join us at the 4th ECCEN conference hosted in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. There will be lots of opportunities to meet, talk and share inspirational practical examples.
